What is EV-Werx?

EV-Werx is a membership-based carsharing service providing 24/7 access to vehicles on an hour or daily basis at hubs located throughout Southwest and Downtown Fresno. All of our vehicles are 100% electric. To book a vehicle, become a member by downloading the EV-Werx smartphone app on the App Store or Google Play and create a profile. After approval, you’re good to go!

What are the requirements?

EV-Werx is available to anyone over 21 years of age with a valid driver's license, relatively clean driving record and a valid credit, debit or bank card. Driver’s licenses from all 50 states are accepted. AB60 licenses are also accepted.


What is included?

Insurance, vehicle maintenance and roadside assistance are all included. Insurance coverage on the car is limited; the driver will be fully responsible for the cost of any third-party claims in the event that EV-Werx’ insurance coverage is invalidated due to a driver's failure to follow any Federal, State or Local traffic laws. Any driving infractions that are incurred by the driver including moving violations, parking tickets or any other illegal activities are not covered by EV-Werx insurance and are the sole responsibility of the driver. Any fees associated with illegal activity or any infraction including but not limited to tickets, impound or towing are the sole responsibility of the driver and are not covered by EV-Werx. Charge cards are included in each vehicle that allow free charging at any EVCS charger in California.



How does it work?

1- SIGN UP + ORIENTATION:

Sign up today and start the application process. The approval process can take 2 to 3 days. Approved members will be notified by email, after which you will need to complete a 15-20 minute orientation via phone or video. 2- RESERVE: 

 Reserve EV-Werx in advance on the mobile app or website.


3- PICK UP: 

Open the EV-Werx app, unlock the vehicle, unplug from the charging station and begin your trip!


4- DRIVE!: 

You can lock and unlock the vehicle with your smartphone throughout your trip. Drive carefully and enjoy the drive!


5- RETURN & PLUG IN TO CHARGE: 

Return the car to the station where you began your journey. Use the charge card to swipe at the charging station and then plug the car into the charger and end your trip with the app!

What is the Cost?

Bookings start at:

$4 per hour (up to 150 miles, .15 cents per mile after)

or

$35 per day (up to 150 miles, .15 cents per mile after).

    We will try our best to clean our vehicles after each trip, but we cannot guarantee that this will always be the case. We take the neccesary steps to protect you. Click on the tab below to learn more detailed cleaning process and protocals.

  • Additional Covid-19 Cleaning Protocol Information

    We have placed CDC recommended cleaning supplies in each vehicle for you to use at the beginning and end of your trip. We strongly urge that you wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while using an EV-Werx car and encourage you to bring your own cleaning supplies in case our supplies run out so that you can do a light cleaning of the vehicle at the start and end of your trip.


    We will provide driving credit to any member that assists in a vehicle cleaning on a case-by-case basis (must be pre-approved by EV-Werx staff). When necessary, we will take vehicles out of service to ensure adequate cleaning/sanitation between reservations. The following is a list of high touch surface areas in the vehicles that according to industry guidelines should be
